The Lemonjazz Festival was born in 2012 from an idea of artistic director Mario Mormone. It takes place in the splendid Villa Fiornetino in Sorrento. The first edition was crowned by the likes of Avio Travel, Claudio Jr De Rosa 4tet with Alfredo Rodriguez Trio, James Taylor Quartet, Livio Minafra with Javier Girotto & Aires Tango and Billy Cobham accompanied by Stanley Jordan and Christian Galvez. Already in the first edition there was great appreciation from the public. The success of this event was confirmed in the second edition, which had as guests Stanley Clarke, Roy Hargrove, Yellowjackets. Gegè Telesforo and the Bobo Trio also took the stage. There was no shortage of participation from local companies and artists. Thanks to this mix, the festival has continued to gain appreciation and followers. The third edition is in 2019 when a sensational programme once again creates an extraordinary event. Jazzmeia Horn, Francesco Cafiso 4tet, Scott Henderson Trio, Doug Lawrence with John Trentacosta and Tuck & Patti take the stage.  The audience turnout reaffirms its success, such for Lemonjazz 2022 thanks to artits like  Richard Galliano, Joe Bastianich & Terza Classe, Matteo Mancuso and Naturally 7, as well as the 2023 edition (look at the poster).
